If, in Deuteronomy 28:15-68, Yahuah was referring to us black (Shemite) nation, we should then examine this text and come up with a solution for the curse that is upon us!
1.Shabbat Shalom to the saints. The topic for this sermon is: “Consequences of abandoning God.”
2.Psalm 83:3-4: “They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones. They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance!” King James Version
3.The quoted passage is King David’s prophecy he made while the children of Yisra’el were still in fellowship with God, while the nation was still united.
4.After King Solomon’s reign, the nation of Yisra’el abandoned God and was split into two kingdoms, Yisra’el and Judah.
5.But the kingdom of Yisra’el was attacked by the gentiles and was wipe out as it was taken to captivity.
6.The Judean kingdom survived for about 150 years after the demise of the Kingdom of Yisra’el. Yeshua was born after the Judean kingdom had been subjugated, dominated by the Romans!
7. As we often point out, after the defeat of the Judeans by the Romans in 70 A.D., the gentiles united and destroyed Moshe’s faith system, which is Yahuah’s, with Creeds!
8.Then, the following prophecy was fulfilled: “They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance!” – KJV
9.The Judeans were scattered across the world, but many of them fled to West Africa, the region once known as NEGROLAND where they were enslaved by various ethnic entities.
10.In his book: FROM BABYLON TO TIMBUKTU, Professor Rudolph Windsor says: “In Deuteronomy 28:64, we read: ‘And the Lord shall scatter thee among all people;
11.and there thou shalt serve other gods, which neither thou nor thy fathers have known, even wood and stone.’
12.He went on and said: “This prophecy and others contained in Deuteronomy 28:15-68 befell the black Jews after abandoning God!
13.Many nations enslaved the black Jews, the sons of Israel were scattered throughout the continents of the earth.”
14.If, in Deuteronomy 28:15-68, Yahuah was referring to us black (Shemite) nation, we should then examine this text and come up with a solution for the curse that is upon us!
15.But before we consider the curses, we will first look at the blessings that Yahuah said we would receive if we did not abandon Him.
16.We read about these blessings from the first verse of Deuteronomy 28, in which Yahuah says:
17.“AND IT SHALL COME TO PASS, IF THOU SHALT HEARKEN DILIGENTLY UNTO THE VOICE OF THE LORD THY GOD, TO OBSERVE AND TO DO ALL HIS COMMANDMENTS WHICH I COMMAND THEE THIS DAY, THAT THE LORD THY GOD WILL SET THEE ON HIGH ABOVE ALL NATIONS OF THE EARTH!
18. AND ALL THESE BLESSINGS SHALL COME ON THEE, AND OVERTAKE THEE, IF THOU SHALT HEARKEN UNTO THE VOICE OF THE LORD THY GOD.
19. THE LORD SHALL CAUSE THINE ENEMIES THAT RISE UP AGAINST THEE TO BE SMITTEN BEFORE THY FACE: THEY SHALL COME OUT AGAINST THEE ONE WAY, AND FLEE BEFORE THEE SEVEN WAYS.
20.THE LORD SHALL COMMAND THE BLESSING UPON THEE IN THY STOREHOUSES, AND IN ALL THAT THOU SETTEST THINE HAND UNTO…!
21. THE LORD SHALL ESTABLISH THEE AN HOLY PEOPLE UNTO HIMSELF, AS HE HATH SWORN UNTO THEE, IF THOU SHALT KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS OF THE LORD THY GOD, AND WALK IN HIS WAYS!
22. AND ALL PEOPLE OF THE EARTH SHALL SEE THOU ART CALLED BY THE NAME OF THE LORD; AND THEY SHALL BE AFRAID OF THEE!
23. The LORD SHALL OPEN UNTO THEE HIS GOOD TREASURE, THE HEAVEN TO GIVE THE TRAIN UNTO THY LANDIN HIS SEASON, AND BLESS ALL THE WORK OF THINE HAND:
24. AND THOU SHALT LEND UNTO MANY NATIONS, AND THOU SHALT NOT BORROW!
25.AND THE LORD SHALL MAKE THEE THE HEAD, AND NOT THE TAIL; AND THOU SHALT BE ABOVE ONLY, AND THOU SHALT NOT BE BENEATH; IF THAT THOU HEARKEN UNTO THE COMMANDMENTS OF THE LORD THY GOD, WHICH I COMMAND THEE THIS DAY, TO OBSERVE AND TO DO THEM!”
26.We said the topic for this sermon is: CONCEQUENCES OF ABANDONING GOD.
27.We have touched on all the blessings that Yahuah said they would befall us if we obey AND OBSERVE ALL HIS COMMANDMENTS!
28.But WE FORSOOK YAHUAH AND DID NOT OBSERVE HIS STATUTES!
29.With gross carelessness, we disregarded all the laws IN THE FIRST CATEGORY THAT PERTAINS TO VENERATING YAHUAH AND FOLLOWED MEN’S TRADITIONS, REJECTING MOSHE’S AND YESHUA’S TEACHINGS ABOUT WORSHIPPING YAHUAH!
30.In Matthew 15:6-9, Yeshua says: “…Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition. Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying:
31.‘This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. But in vain they do worship me, TEACHING FOR DOCTRINES THE COMMANDMENTS OF MEN!”
32.Here we have revealed things that Yahuah promised to do for us IF WE OBEY AND EVEN OBSERVE ALL HIS STATUTES!
33.Now WE ARE HIGHLIGHTING ALL THE CURSES YAHUAH PROMISED TO BRING DOWN UPON US IF WE DO NOT OBEY HIS ENTIRE LAW.
34.In the last sermon I said we should differentiate between the first category law which says: ‘THOU SHALT LOVE THE LORD WITH ALL THY HEART, AND WITH ALL THY SOUL, AND WITH ALL THY SOUL, AND WITH ALL THY MIND,’ and the second category law says: ‘THOU SHALT LOVE THY NEIGHBOUR AS THYSELF.’
35.If we violate the law of the first category, it is ONLY God WHO GETS OFFENDED because by violating it, WE REJECT THE COMMAND THAT PERTAINS TO WORSHIP ONLY HIM, AND IT DOES NOT AFFECT OTHER DEITIES!! ONE ASSUMES HOLINESS BY OBSERVING LAWS THAT ARE CONTAINED IN LEVITICUS 19!
36.But if one violates the law of the second category, society condemns them and punished by the government because violating this category adversely affects all the people!
37.No faith system or religion can condone murder, rape, theft, and anything that disturbs the whole society!
38.But one cannot become A SAINT WITHOUT OBSERVING THE LAW OF THE FIRST CATEGORY BECAUSE THROUGH IT WE VENERATE YAHUAH!
39.WHEN THE GENTILES TAUGHT US THAT YAHUAH’S LAW IS THE OLD COVENANT, THEY WERE REMOVING US FROM GLORIFYING OUR GOD!
40.BUT YESHUA, IN MATTHEW 5:17-18, SAYS THE TORAH (MOSHE’S LAW AND THE PROPHETS) IS ETERNAL!
41.In Deuteronomy 18:9-14, Yahuah says, inter alia: “…thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations.”
42.Yahuah enumerated all the abominable acts that any Yahuah’s worshipper is not expected to engage in, though they may be permissible within our cultural context!
43.But what the pious should understand is that by adopting piety, worshipping only Yahuah, one admits that Yahuah’s law takes precedence above their national cultural practices!
44.These cultural practices or customs that are prohibited by Yahuah are found within our nation.
45.The above point reinforces our assertion that we are still that same nation of Yisra’el because the abominations that are articulated in Deuteronomy 18:9-14, which Yahuah said He could not tolerate, are found within our nation!
46.Moshe says Yahuah expelled before Yisra’el the nations that were engaged in such abominations!
47.Here we are referring to the faith system Yahuah brought down to our forebears through Moshe, which Shembe revived with verses 3-4 of the Shabbat Liturgical Prayer, when he arrived among us, where he says:
48.“Fear Yahuah O generations and generations and observe His laws that Yahuah wrote for you through His Servant Moshe, so that your worship may be acceptable to the God of hosts.
49.For if you do not worship Him by observing His laws, HE WILL NEVER ACCEPT YOUR PRAYERS, NOR SHALL HE BRING BLESSINGS DOWN UPON YOU IF YOU DO NOT OBEY HIS LAWS AND OBSERVE THEM!”
50.Moshe’s faith system, which was destroyed after Yeshua, was reignited by Shembe among our nation!
51.But that does not mean that those who subscribe to other religions are compelled to observe Yahuah’s Law!
52.But all of us, who are under Yahuah’s faith system, should avoid anything that is abominable to God because, in the hereafter, we will be judged on the basis of whether we did not abandon God by doing away with His laws.
53.Let us establish what curses Yahuah brought down upon our forebears and their progeny whenever they departed from His statutes.
54.In the following text I have omitted numerous verses and focused on those that are relevant to our abuse by the gentiles!
55.In Deuteronomy 28:15-51, Yahuah, through Moshe, says: “But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee!
56. The LORD shall send upon thee cursing, vexation, and rebuke, in all that thou settest thine hand unto for to do, until thou be destroyed, and until thou perish quickly; BECAUSE OF THE WICKEDNESS OF THY DOINGS, WHEREBY THOU HAST FORSAKEN ME!
57. THE LORD SHALL CAUSE THEE TO BE SMITTEN BEFORE THY ENEMIES: THOU SHALT GO OUT ONE WAY AGAINST THEM, AND FLEE SEVEN WAYS BEFORE THEM…!
58. AND THOU SHALT BECOME AN ASTONISHMENT, A PROVERB, AND A BYWORD, AMONG ALL THE NATIONS WHITHER THE LORD SHALL LEAD THEE. AND THY CARCASE SHALL BE MEAT UNTO ALL FOWLS OF THE AIR, AND UNTO THE BEASTS OF THE EARTH, AND NO MAN SHALL FRAY THEM AWAY!
59.…AND THOU SHALT NOT PROSPER IN THY WAYS: AND THOU SHALT BE ONLY OPPRESSED AND SPOILED EVERMORE, AND NO MAN SHALL SAVE THEE! THINE OX SHALL BE SLAIN BEFORE THINE EYES, AND THOU SHALT NOT EAT THEREOF!
60. THE FRUIT OF THY LAND, AND ALL THY LABOURS, SHALL A NATION WHICH THOU KNOWEST NOT EAT UP; AND THOU SHALT BE ONLY OPPRESSED AND CRUSHED ALWAY!
61. THE LORD SHALL BRING THEE, AND THY KING WHICH THOU SHALT SET OVER THEE, UNTO A NATION WHICH NEITHER THOU NOR THY FATHERS HAVE KNOWN; AND THERE SHALT THOU SERVE OTHER GODS, WOOD AND STONE!
62. AND THOU SHALT BECOME AN ASTONISHMENT, A PROVERB, AND A BYWORD, AMONG THE NATIONS WHITHER THE LORD SHALL LEAD THEE!
63. THE LORD SHALL BRING A NATION AGAINST THEE FROM FAR, FROM THE END OF THE EARTH, AS SWIFT AS THE EAGLE FLIETH…!
64. A NATION WHOSE TONGUE THOU SHALT NOT UNDERSTAND; A NATION OF FIERCE COUNTENANCE, WHICH SHALL NOT REGARD THE PERSON OF THE OLD, NOR SHEW FAVOUR TO THE YOUNG.
65. AND HE SHALL EAT THE FRUIT OF THY CATTLE, AND THE FRUIT OF THY LAND, UNTIL THOU BE DESTROYED:
66. WHICH ALSO SHALL NOT LEAVE THEE EITHER CORN, WINE, OR OIL, OR THE INCREASE OF THY KINE, OR FLOCKS OF THY SHEEP, UNTIL HE HAVE DESTROYED THEE!
67. THY SONS AND THY DAUGHTERS SHALL BE GIVEN UNTO ANOTHER PEOPLE, AND THINE EYES SHALL LOOK….”
68.I do not have to explain each component of the text of what God says about curses that will befall those who have abandoned Yahuah because God did not speak figuratively, but He gave a direct, literal declaration which does not need any interpretation!
69.Within the black nation there are numerous scholars of religion and many members of the clergy with theology qualifications; some hold doctoral degrees in within the discipline of theology.
70.On the basis of their qualifications, do members of the clergy deny that the above curses were brought down upon the black nation, Yahuah cursing our forebears as per Professor Windsor’s assertion?
71.If they are not in denial, what do they suggest should be done to remove these curses from us so that blessings that we first cited here may be restored?
72.Who can deny that being enslaved by all nations is Yahuah’s reward due to our act of abandoning Him and serving other deities?
73.Those who say we are not the offspring of Yisra’el should bring clear evidence because existing DNA results reinforce our assertion!
74.If that is the case, the gentiles were sent by Yahuah to enslave us because we abandoned Him!
75.Politicians often complain that we are being oppressed by whites, but they do not want to confront the fact that we are being punished for violating the covenant that we made with Yahuah! So, who on earth can liberate us if we are being chastised by God?
76.In Deuteronomy 28, God mentions all curses that would befall us for abandoning Him. We abandoned Him indeed, and they subsequently befell us!
77.Let us ask ourselves whose fault it is as we are in the current pathetic situation, being such a proverb among nations.
78.This is due to our fault, for we have forsaken Yahuah who has subsequently sent all nations to enslave us!
79.There is only one step that we need to take so that Yahuah may combat our enemies: we just need to reconcile with Him and observe His statutes He taught us through His Servant Moshe!
80.According to Nehemiah 9:1-9, when the children of Yisra’el discovered that Yahuah had abandoned them, they returned to Him through prayers and solemn veneration; they restored all Yahuah’s statutes which they had forsaken!
81.Yahuah stated in no uncertain terms that He would curse us if we abandon Him; therefore, there is no need to omit examining ourselves, accusing nations that were sent by Yahuah to come and enslave us for having forsaken Him!
82.Just as Shembe states in Hymn 120, “There is no other foundation of true piety for Africans; we only need to reconcile with Yahuah Who is our lamp!”
